Our Services

Another Chance Transitional Services (ACTS) provides comprehensive and coordinated services strategic to the reintegration of former incarcerated individuals. We strive to insure that all convicted felons have the necessary support they need in order to begin a successful and productive life after their release from jail or prison. ACTS provides the following services:

Employment Assistance
ACTS has an employment network composed of businesses willing to hire convicted felons! The process is simple but so rewarding. Once the former offender completes the intake process at the ACTS Life Center, he or she is placed into our employment database along with their work history and other work related skills. Our goal is to match our clients with permanent jobs. Each week, our database is updated with current job-listings.

Monthly Seminars and Training Sessions
All ACTS clients are required to attend monthly training sessions. The sessions are focused on: job readiness, interviewing, personal appearance, family dynamics, social integration, communication skills, and entrepreneurship.

ACTS Support Groups
The ACTS Support Group meets every Tuesday at 6pm at the ACTS Life Center. The purpose is to allow each ACTS client the opportunity to share their past experiences with one another as well as, provide solutions for the current and potential issues that convicted felons face on a daily basis. The ACTS Support Group has proven to be beneficial not only to our ACTS clients, but to their family and friends as well.

ACTS Social Services
Our trained Social Worker, Nicoria Lambert, BSW, is available Tuesday-Friday to meet the needs of our ACTS clients. Please contact the ACTS office for more information at 850-437-9900 for assistance.

ACTS GED PROGRAM
Education is the key to success. Many former offenders, unfortunately, don`t complete high school. We are now proud to offer a GED class at the ACTS Life Center. Classes are held each Thursday at 5pm.

ACTS Dressed for Success Clothing Closet
First impressions are lasting impressions! We believe that when you look your best you feel your best and you do your best. Clothes are available to all ACTS clients. The ACTS clothing closet is open 7 days a week. We are always seeking clothing donations. If you have items to donate to the clothing closet, please feel free to bring them by the ACTS Life Center Tuesday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.
